Comfort (original set up)

Just a twist of the throttle. No clutch, no shifting. Hand (front) and foot (rear) brakes. Floorboards.
Seat: Comfortable for 2 to 3 hours.
Long Rides: Floorboards make for greater comfort.

Handling
Highway Power/Zip:
Weight to power ratio makes for a peppy bike. Quick throttle response. Can run happily all day at 75mph without any complaints.
Tight Turns: Good, not quite as tight as my V-Star 1100 Custom.
Twisty Roads: Handles like a dream. As much fun as my Victory Vegas.
Wind/Rain/Heat: Since it is lighter, more awareness of wind is necessary.
Braking Power: Surprisingly good response.

Modifications Made
What I Changed:
Not a thing.

Added Extras
What I Added:
Windshield, saddlebags, engine guards (a must!), highway lights.

Maintenance
What I'm Doing:
Change the oil . . .

Conclusions
What I Think:
An all-round great bike. Easy to operate. I would not tour on it, though many owners do, I prefer my heavier V-Star for long trips, but for day trips the Ridley is an excellent ride. Great for new and experienced riders. An incredible amount of thought went into the design and manufacture. Lots of billet & chrome standard. AND, it's American made in Oklahoma City.
