Bike Basics
Manufacturer:
Victory
Model: Vegas 8 Ball
Year: 2005
Type: Cruiser
My Bike's Name: Artemis
Purchase Details: A wedding gift from my darling husband, Jack.

Engine Displacement (cc): 1507
Number of Gears: 5
Final Drive: Belt
Cooling System: Air/Oil
Seat Height (unmodified): 26.5" (673 mm)
Carburetion Type: Fuel Injected
Fuel Capacity: 4 gallons (15.2 liters)
Weight: 620 lbs dry (281 kgs)

Comfort (original set up)
Hand/Foot Controls:
Had to stretch to reach the footpegs, could stand flat footed but my legs were stretched straight. Bars were a bit too far forward.
Seat: Stock
Long Rides: Didn't take any before modifications

Handling
Highway Power/Zip:
Awesome, very nimble, plenty of get-up-and-go.
Tight Turns: No problems, turns easily
Twisty Roads: Very nimble & fun to ride
Wind/Rain/Heat: No problems, handles well in rain (rode 250 miles in pouring rain heading home from Sturgis last August)
Braking Power: Excellent

Modifications Made
What I Changed:
1" lowering kit, 2" pullback bars & moved the footpegs back 1.5".

Added Extras
What I Added:
Changed to pegs from floorboards after 7 or 8 months. I actually like the pegs better, but it's a pain to change back. Stage 1 hop-up, now at 91 horsepower, with a very nice growl.

Maintenance
What I'm Doing:
This bike is bullet-proof. Single fluid, just change the oil every 2500 to 3000 miles.

Conclusions
What I Think:
This is one awesome bike. Rode her from Tulsa to Sturgis last summer without any problems. Very comfortable. But, not a bike for beginners, as it has a lot of power.
