M. Wright in VA with her "new" 1993 Kawi Vulcan and her starter bike!

Maria in PR with her bike, a 2001 Honda Rebel!

Here, finally, is that picture I promised months ago!  This was taken up by Port Gamble on the northwest tip of the Kitsap Peninsula in Washington State .  That’s the Hood Canal with part of the Olympic Peninsula behind us.  Not only am I lucky enough to have this awesome bike to ride (’97 Honda Valkyrie), I get to ride through some of nature’s most beautiful scenery! -- Amy in Washington

I went ahead and bought the bike, and so far am LOVING IT!  I got a 2000 Big Dog Pitbull, candy apple red, only 1100 miles with a 107 inch motor and she SCREAMS!  Had her out last Sunday for a full 60 miles, and I did hit ONE nasty bump in the road, and it did rattle me a little.  Otherwise, the ride was good and the bike handles really well.  I even called Big Dog Motorcycles out of Kansas and they tracked down a manual for me and are sending it to me free of charge!  How’s that for customer service! -- Tammy Jenkins

Here are a few pictures of my 2001 Kaw. Vulcun Drifter, Indian Clone. You can't even tell I dropped it, huh?!  I like it a lot. Just will take time before I become a professional bike rider. Practice makes perfect I always heard. -- Susan Lenz

My 2003 Yamaha V-Star 1100 . . . got some cool stuff for Xmas: Cobra exhaust slip-ons, so others can HERE ME, lightbar with 2 additional headlights and an engine guard. Also got heated jacket and gloves for chilly rides up north. Most women want diamonds for Christmas; but I say keep that and give me more motorcycle accessories! -- Barbara in Queen Creek, AZ

I have been riding for 31 years, started at age 12 with my father and that was all she wrote, I am addicted, been all over the USA and loved every minute of it, but always on the back. I took the local rider safety course and got my endorsement last summer, then started searching for my first bike.  I have always ridden Harleys and for a while a Moto Guzzi, with their owners of course, but had no clue what to get for myself. I found a beautiful 2001 Yamaha Virago 250 with only 1082 miles for $2000, yep I bought it. -- Melissa

2 Red Cliffs gayle.jpg (7020 bytes)

In March of 2002, I took the Motorcycle Safety course class. At about the time I was completing the course, our Local Harley dealer contacted us and told us that there was a brand new 2002 Heritage Soft Tail classic available if we wanted it. Since the summer of 2002, I have put over twelve thousand miles behind me. This experience has enriched my life in ways that can't be described. I hope by sharing my story, that it will encourage other women, no matter how old or how vertically challenged they are, to pursue their dream of riding their own bike. Thank you -- Gayle Vickrey

Figured I'd finally get around to sending you a couple of photos for the site. One of me (Bryna with Sushi at top) and one of Lynn (with Bucky at bottom). You'll be able to see why we're called, respectively, the Short Woman and the Tall Woman. LOL -- Bryna

I currently have a Trike Conversion kit on my 2003 Harley Davidson Sportster. It was made by Custom Trikes (small company) in Bainbridge, GA and is cheaper and more stable than the Voyager. Contact Buddy Griffin at (229) 246-0762 for more information. -- Shirley in Thomasville, GA

Vicki's Valkyrie 001.jpg (5635 bytes)

I wrote to Susan about my trike. Enclosed is a pic of my new one (Valkyrie trike). My husband loves riding with me on HIS Valkyrie and is very proud of me. I can ride the biggest bike of all this way! Love your site! -- Vicki Stellato

Lee and LowRider.JPG (8704 bytes)

I am sending you a picture of my new bike! It is a 2005 Dyna Low-rider that has been lowered for me. I am 50 years old and returning to riding after a few year's break, after scaring myself.  I am very proud of her! I haven't ridden much yet, but am looking forward to many rides in the future! Thank you for this website. -- Lee

Andrea and Rebel.JPG (8438 bytes)

Thank you for coming up with one of the best sites I read. I have found so much information here! Here's a pic of me with the Rebel. This has been the best first riding season I could have hoped for. My greatest fear when I started was the Bay Bridge -- 4.2 miles of scary metal grill work. I have now gone over it 4 times and doesn't seem so bad. Just reading about all things people have overcome has made it seem possible that I can too. -- Andrea in Ellicott City, MD

Deb Hill2.jpg (7245 bytes)

I did it!!! I passed the MSF course Sunday and got my license yesterday! YIPEEE!!! Thank you for your encouragement.  Here's a pic of me on my maiden voyage on my Marauder. You can't see my smile [oh yes we can when we click on the thumbnail and enlarge the view!] but it was HUGE! I was amazed that my bike didn't float to the sky I was so pumped! Have a blessed day. -- Deb T. in Baltimore

SparkleValkyrie.JPG (7175 bytes)

OH MY GOD!!!  If you remember, I ask if you thought a woman would be too small to handle a Honda Valkyrie. Your reply was go for the Valk!!  The decision was made and it took about 2 weeks to locate one in Dallas . . . got it over Labor Day weekend. Long story short . . . in one week I have put on 300 miles, all after work, and never new I could possibly love a machine sooooooo much. Can't ever remember being this pleased with myself since I married my husband! Guaranteed -- Sparkle is Sparkling!!!!!!!!!

My V-Star 650 Custom and I in the mountains of Utah. Great bike with plenty of power! My husband rides an identical bike, different color scheme! -- Lynelle

Hi! I just purchased a Honda 400 automatic transmission bike with 713 actual miles. They are great. -- Arlan in Iowa

Rose (5).jpg (10447 bytes)

I recently wrote to get advice on lowering my '02 Sportster 1200c.  The front was lowered then my husband lowered the back.  I never would have believed how much one inch could change my riding.  I am happy to report that I am riding and wanting to ride every minute.  Thank you VTwin Mama,  and God Bless...Rose Confident & "Flying" in OK.

Thank you again VTwin Mama for the information on your website.  This is me riding since I lowered bike....God Bless everyone....Rose

Note from Mama: Rose is 5'1" and on her 2002 Sportster 1200
