REVIEW CONCLUSION:
When beautiful designs cause others to say, "Where did you get that?," you know you're on to something!

REVIEW SPECIFICS:
When Sam from Stylewarrior.com first contacted me, he noted, "I came across your website recently...what a great forum for the community...looks like you’ll be another anniversary come January '08...congrats!"

As a small, independent, contemporary company, Sam added that they have been selling to boutiques and dealers primarily out in the western states, but were looking to forge relationships with online sites that would treasure the bold designs, many of which speak directly to motorcycle riding women.

So they came on board as an advertiser and sent me a T-shirt to try out! I opted for Smiley Bones as it peaked my interest immediately ... who could resist skulls with a smile in them?!

My concern, which was quickly put to rest, was could a 220 lb. woman look as "cool" as the less "padded" model in the ads, would a size Large work ok (I usually wear XL or 1XL), and what was the comfort wear/look factor in all of this?

Smiles don't lie! That's me in the middle and I couldn't have felt any more one with the work I was doing at the show given that I had skulls and details to set me apart!

Let's talk about some details. The Smiley Bones shirt is from the Bling! collection and is a 4 button henley body in lightweight baby thermal, with studded skull accents and metallic rose sleeve print detail. Burnout wash, black, preshrunk cotton poly blend.

So, I wore the Large that stretched very nicely to fit my form, the fabric weight was great in that it was substantial enough to feel full coverage but light weight enough to allow me to run around the show without feeling I was going to overheat ... a really nice combo for riding I'm thinking! The sleeves are super long, and even for me there was plenty to work with, so no tugging at sleeves (even after a wash cycle). I really liked that!

Before leaving for the Atlanta Cycle World Show, Sam surprised me (totally out the blue) and sent two other styles so that I would have a T for each of the three days.

This is me in Like A Prayer, also from the Bling! collection.

What glorious detail at the wrists and shoulders ... delicious bronze studs that really accents the shirt and let's you play with studded motorcycles themes! I had a lot of comments on the faux leather Cross appliqué with punched out grommet detail. And it's preshrunk!

By far the shirt that got the most exposure (!) was the Road Warrior T from the Bling! collection. That's because I sat on bikes throughout the show and was in that shirt! It features a front left chest Cross logo, with a stunning Winged Cross in the back ... over 9,000 bling stones in this design!

And these are only three of the Ts available! There are short sleeve and other long sleeve styles, along with micro thermal wear, that just bring out the art + functional wear in a person! To say that I was never really all that interested in fashion has now officially gone by the wayside ... I've had the opportunity to try out styles that elicited comments each and every day, making me feel not only very special, but very beautiful to boot. It's an understatement to say that my boyfriend wasn't grinning ear to ear with each one I wore ... he loved how I looked and appreciated the forward fashion sense this brought to "just plain Petra" ... ! ! ! !

And isn't what we want from our riding gear?!

Now, a note on pricing. Ranging from $58 - $120, depending on style, one might develop a small hiccup if you're comparing these offerings to the more standard fare we find in dealerships, shops, rallies and shows. All I can offer is this: I consider my motorcycle to be an extension of who I am and I how I present myself to the motorcycle community, and wearing T-shirts with such an obvious flare heightened my sense of how I am perceived. It turns out, I like that! So why not you?!
